Dr. Smith is Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Cell Biology at University of Montreal.
Research Interest
The research conducted by Matthew J. Smith and his team aims to integrate modern experimental approaches to structural biology, biophysics, evolutionary bioinformatics and cell biology in order to identify and understand a abnormal cancer signaling both systemically and mechanically. Specifically, they will explore the correlation between genetic mutations, altered protein structure, and disrupted protein networks, triggering cell transformation and metastatic spread.
