Biography
Philippe Poullaouec-Gonidec is a Professor & Holder of the UNESCO Chair in Landscape and Environment of the Université de Montréal Associate Professor at the Chair in Landscape and Environment of the Université de Montréal Education: AME 6144 Landscape concept (M.Sc.A.). APA 4300 Design Process (Bachelor Architecture Landscape). Areas of expertise: Landscape Architecture, History and landscape theory, Urban design and urban architecture, Gardens, Landscape Management & Cultural landscapes.
Research Interest
Philippe Poullaouec-Gonidec is a specialist in theories and the concept of landscape. He studies in particular the link between landscape and modernity through the contemporary invention of landscapes, as well as notions of intentionality and landscape actions. His recent activities include landscape and urban design projects through local and international experiments (workshop, workshop / field). Finally, he is interested in the creation and contemporary expression of the art of gardens and landscape as well as landscape instrumentation (characterization and monitoring).
