Research Interest
Specialist in moving images, my research brings into dialogue the analysis of the representation of identity differences (sex / gender, sexuality, race and social class) and transnational devices of production, circulation and audiovisual reception. . I have been contributing for several years to the feminist studies of the moving image, with a particular interest for the cinema of the genre (the film in costumes and the film noir ) and violence on the screen. I am also interested in the practices of audiovisual representation and self-representation of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer peoplein the Anglo-American and Francophone contexts. Finally, in a new project in the field of globalization and communication, I study a transnational network of Burmese journalists who participate in the democratization of Burma.
