Pierre Boyer-Mercier is the Member of the Quebec Order of Architects Editor of ARQ magazine, Architecture-Québec Researcher with the IGNIS research team. His Areas of expertise are: Architecture dwelling Housing policies users
Research Interest
Pierre Boyer-Mercier conducts work on housing, from the perspective of the sociology of neighborhood relations and ways of living. In particular, he has conducted research on neighborhood relations in the dense individual habitat (intimacy and community relations), modes of living in the intermediate habitat (conviviality / diversity), and citizen relations in different types of housing. He was also interested in the history of privacy and the principles of "new urbanism". His activities also include journalism and specialized publishing in architecture, being co-founder of the journal ARQ / Architecture-Québec . He participates in the work of the IGNIS research group, particularly on the fifth façade.
