Research Interest
Michel Poitevin, Professor in the Department of Science Economics, earned a Ph.D. in Economics from the University British Columbia. He is a researcher at the Interuniversity Center Research in Quantitative Economics (CIREQ) and the Interuniversity Center in research and analysis of organizations (CIRANO). His work focuses on the problems of engagement in contractual relations, that is, on the one hand, the possibilities renegotiation in environments with private information and, on the other hand, on the possibilities of bankruptcy in financial contracts dynamic. These techniques are applied to issues of decentralization and delegation within organizations as well as the provision of public property. Areas of expertise: Theory of Contracts, incentives, Public property.
