Research Interest

Sallée Nicolas's research work is part of a series of reflections devoted to the regulation of juvenile behavior, involving the construction of public policies, the production and dissemination of knowledge (stemming in particular from the "sciences of the psyche"), as well as the implementing educational practices (professional or parental) for various categories of young people. It is for this reason that I study the modalities of support, supervision and / or confinement of young offenders, in France and in Quebec. Attentive to the day-to-day work of juvenile justice actors, as well as to the history of their professions and their sectors of intervention, I seek to detect the emergence, on both sides of the Atlantic, of new models of treatment of juvenile delinquency, which spreads both between walls (prisons, closed centers, etc.) and outside the walls (evidentiary systems, supervision in the community, etc.). In the direct continuity of this work, I am also interested, recently, in the norms (and the evolution of the norms) which surround the young sexuality. At the same time, I develop a specific interest in the history of sociology and its connections / intersections with the sciences of the psyche.
