Biography
Sébastien Sauvé is an associate professor in Environmental Chemistry at the University of Montreal since 2001. He is a graduate of the University of Montreal. such as pharmaceuticals, nanoparticles and methylsiloxanes. He has so far published close to 90 scientific articles and book chapters. Sébastien Sauvé shared its youth between Montreal and its suburbs. After high school, Sébastien participated in an international student exchange program with AFS and Lived for a year with a wonderful host family in Joensuu (Carelia, Finland) and MOST Especially, speaking Finnish! Then he entertained a college degree in applied science and health at the Maisonneuve College and an undergraduate degree in soil science at the Macdonald Campus of McGill University. A summer research project on acid deposition sparked his interest for soil chemistry and the environment. A master's degree in soil chemistry with William Hendershot then followed. During his M.Sc., Sébastien took part in an international scientific cooperation program in the laboratory of Murray McBride at Cornell University . After his master, Sébastien worked for a year atTallon Metal Technologies on the remediation of soils from the Longue-Pointe military base (Montreal, QC) and also in research and development for the same company. After this experience, he joined the resarch team of Dr. McBride and did a PhD in soil chemistry, environmental quality and ecotoxicology in the Soil Crop and Atmospheric Sciences Department of Cornell University. QSAR Risk Assessment Service inc. and gained practical experience as a consultant in human health and ecotoxicological risk assessment. To extend His knowledge in the biological field and familiarize himself with immunotoxicological assays, Sebastien DID postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Michel Fournier, at the INRS-Institut Armand-Frappier health research institute. He Explored the intricacies of the immune system of bivalves and earthworms And Then joined the Chemistry Department at the University of Montreal .
