Research Interest
He is currently working on early Christian monasticism, which he had tried to understand the mentality, teaching, spirituality, and this, in connection with its cultural, social and political context. For some time he had focused specifically on the themes of spiritual discernment, master-disciple relationship, asceticism, spiritual authority, conversion. He tried to approach monasticism with a comparative approach, which led me to study also Manichaeism. Areas of expertise: History of Christianity, History of religions, Theories in the sciences of religion.
