Research Interest
White Deena says that he is specialist in political sociology and more specifically, social policies seen from the perspective of the action of civil society groups on their development and implementation and in terms of their role in the regulation of populations. targets. The fields where I studied these processes include mental health, occupational health, midwifery and job placement. As part of my research, I am particularly interested in new forms of governance such as "intersectorality", "participation" and "partnership". As the transformation of the place and the role of the action groups have always been at the center of my research concerns, these are most often conducted in close collaboration with various groups outside the academic community. I'm also a specialist in participatory evaluation of policy implementation, whether it's joining grassroots groups, government groups or both - a pretty tricky approach! Finally, I conducted comparative research (England, France, English Canada, Quebec, Uruguay ...) and I collaborate with networks of researchers in these countries and others. On the local level, it gives me great pleasure to lead the InterActions Knowledge Exchange and Research Center., at the university affiliated center (CAU) CSSS of Bordeaux-Cartierville-St-Laurent. CAU's mission is to develop applied social research in close collaboration with stakeholders and citizens, in order to contribute to the development of innovative practices and the improvement of living conditions. The InterActions Center implements a program of research and mobilization of knowledge around the theme of "The articulation of public, community and family networks facing complex problems".
