Biography
Dr. Aravind received his Ph.D in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India, and his M.Tech. in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. Later, he worked as a Scientific officer in the Supercomputer Education and Research Center, IISc., Bangalore, India. Before coming to UNBC, Dr. Aravind was a Post-doctoral fellow at the Memorial University of Newfoundland, St. John's, Canada. Dr. Aravind is a recipient of the 2012 Teaching Excellence Award
Research Interest
His areas of research include concurrency related issues in shared memory, distributed, mobile and ad hoc environments, routing algorithms in wired, wireless, mobile, and ad hoc networks, concurrency control in transaction processing systems, and self-stabilization algorithms in distributed and mobile environments.
