Biography
Dr. Hirt received his PhD and MSc from the University of Calgary, specializing in networking, cryptography, and security. He received his BSc from the University of Northern British Columbia
Research Interest
His research interests include networking, cryptography, security, performance evaluation, anonymous communication, databases, data warehouses, data mining, and business intelligence. Dr. Hirt is also the Regional Team Leader for business intelligence at Northern Health Authority. His team uses the Microsoft BI stack, ETL tools, database replication, and log shipping to provide strategic information to help leadership make better informed evidence based decisions.
