Alex G. Fallis
Emeritus Professor
Chemistry and Biomolecular Sciences
University of Ottawa
Canada
Biography
Dr. Fallis' research encompasses synthetic, medicinal, and organic materials chemistry. These synthetic activities are aimed at developing new procedures particularly multi-component couplings and pericyclic reactions directed to synthesis of natural products with medicinal promise. Organic materials (pentacenes, nanotubes) are used forfor organic thin film transistors. OLEDs, and solar cells plus novel cyclophanes, particularly allenophanes are also used. Dr. Fallis is the author of many articles published in several reputed journals.
