Biography
Professor Clémence Fauteux-Lefebvre received her PhD in chemical engineering from Université de Sherbrooke in 2015. Her graduated studies were on development of new catalysts for hydrogen production by steam reforming, and for gas desulfurization. She pursued her work on processes and materials characterization with a postdoctoral fellowship within the Pfizer Chair on Process Analytical Technologies in Pharmaceutical Engineering. She joined the Department of Chemical and Biological engineering in July 2017, as assistant professor. Her research focuses on sustainable catalysis processes, to reduce undesirable products, increase by-product valorization, save energy and eliminate pollutants. Prof. Fauteux-Lefebvre aims to develop versatile catalysts that adapt to a wide range of operating conditions or their fluctuations, and that can be used in more than one stage or function of processes and reactions.
