Biography
Dr. L'Heureux is working as a Professor in Department of Physics, at University of Ottawa, Canada. He is interested in the theoretical modeling and numerical studies of nonlinear processes in geochemical systems. The phenomena includes reaction-transport studies in early diagenesis of aqueous sediments, coupling of the sediments to the water column, pattern formation in rocks and minerals, periodic precipitation patterns, oscillatory zoning, growth and nucleation of gas bubbles in magmatic systems, noise-induced phenomena. This study allows for a better understanding of, e.g., biogeochemical cycling in sediments, ore deposits conditions or the dynamics of volcanic eruptions. He is the author of many articles published in several reputed journals.
