Biography
Professor R. Tom Baker as a Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biomolecular Sciences , at University of Ottawa, Canada. B aker’s focus is on application of catalysis science to development of efficient energy applications. Collaborative projects include amine-boranes for chemical hydrogen storage, metal-catalyzed lignocellulose disassembly and surface-supported molecular complexes for tandem catalysis. Studies in fundamental transition metal organofluorine chemistry look at ‘greener’ methods for preparing technologically valuable fluorochemicals and –polymers. He is the author of many articles published in several reputed journals.
