Sarah A.s. Dare
Assistant Professor
Earth and Environmental Sciences
University of Ottawa
Canada
Biography
Dr. Dare’s research uses geochemistry and mineralogy to study the processes that form magmatic ore deposits (Ni-Cu-PGE-Cr and Fe-Ti-V-P) hosted in mafic-ultramafic igneous complexes. Research is focussed on the trace element content of the ore minerals (oxides, sulfides and apatite) using state-of-the-art techniques (laser ablation ICP-MS). Current research programs include the mineral chemistry of magmatic oxide deposits and the application of mineral chemistry in the exploration of mineral deposits.
