Biography
r. Nilgun Onder received a BSc degree with the highest distinction in Political Science and Public Administration from the Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey. After receiving her MA degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, she completed her PhD in Political Science at York University, Toronto. Dr. Onder joined the University of Regina in 2003. Besides having a full-time faculty appointment in the Department of Political Science, she was appointed Coordinator of the International Studies Program from 2006-2011. Her areas of specialization are International Relations, International Political Economy and Comparative Political Economy. Her current research interests include the international political economy of global finance; global economic governance; international financial institutions; globalization and state transformation; and Turkish politics. Dr. Onder teaches in both the Department of Political Science and the interdisciplinary International Studies Program. In addition to the introductory-level course in Political Science and International Studies, she teaches senior undergraduate and graduate courses in the field on International Relations. She has published articles in international journals and presented papers at numerous international academic conferences.
