Biography
Dr. Randal Rogers is an Associate Professor of Interdisciplinary Programs in the Faculty of Media, Art, and Performance where he teaches in the areas of Creative Technologies and Interdisciplinary Studies. He is currently developing a long-term research project on the “Forensic Imagination”, which includes blood in visual culture; Dexter's reproductive futures; queer spies; and air crash simulation. Undergraduate courses taught include: Introduction to Media and Communication; Spy Media; Mapping Illness; Queer: Theories and Cultures; Global Migrations. Randal also teaches the core graduate theory fine arts seminars, and supervises graduate and honours students in a broad range of areas. Randal served as the Chair of the Visual Culture Division of CSA (Cultural Studies Association) (USA) from 2009-2014 and is currently on the editorial boards of Journal of Critical Photography Studies. He is also a member of Canadian Communication Association, Cultural Studies Association (USA), Sexuality Studies Association and International Association for Media and Communication Research.
