Biography
Sarah Britto is an Associate Professor in the Department of Justice Studies. She received her PhD in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the Florida State University where whe focused on media and fear of crime. She was a faculty member at Georgia State University, Central Washington University and Prairie View A&M University before joining the Faculty of Arts at the University of Regina in 2015. Sarah has published over 30 peer reviewed articles, and co-authored the book, "In the Shadow of Death: Restorative Justice and Death Row Families", which was named a CHOICE Outstanding Academic Title for 2007. Her primary research interests include understanding crime related public perceptions, restorative justice and capital crimes, and gender-inequality and violent crime.
