Biography
Dr. John Steel’s dental career has covered three areas – the military, private practice, and teaching. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Alberta – B.Sc (1964) and DDS (1964). Dr. Steel has twenty-five years’ experience in private practice in Regina and Moose Jaw in a group practice setting. Upon leaving private practice, he spent nine years as an instructor at the First Nations University of Canada, National School of Dental Therapy. He has been a part-time clinical instructor at the University of Saskatchewan since 2003, and more recently holds a faculty position as an Academic Programming Appointment (APA) within the College of Dentistry. At present, he is the course coordinator for Year 2 Fixed Prosthodontics (DENT 340), and became a Team Leader in the fall of 2016.
