Biography

Chantal Camden participated in various interdisciplinary projects to implement and evaluate early interventions using community-based approaches (Apollo model: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuUeZqYHQWU and Partnering for Change model: http: // canchild .ca / en / ourresearch / partneringforchange.asp) as well as free knowledge transfer tools available on the web (Coordinating Impairment Workshops: http://dcd.canchild.ca/en/dcdresources /workshops.asp). She is currently working on the development of a dynamic web platform that will bring together all actors interested in pediatric rehabilitation. For example, children, parents, caregivers, Decision-makers and community members will be able to work together to develop interventions and resources they deem to be a priority in order to effectively support children's participation. Chantal Camden is also working on the development of regional pilot projects to strengthen collaboration between all organizations and institutions involved in providing services to children with physical disabilities.

Research Interest

Chantal Camden's research program uses integrated knowledge translation strategies to collaboratively develop, implement and evaluate new interventions and new models of evidence-based services. In Quebec and the majority of countries, the organization of services for children with physical disabilities is offered from specialized centers. However, this method of organizing services is costly, generates long waiting lists and does not always allow for follow-up in the community in order to support the social participation of children.
