Research Interest
Dr. Lepage's research program aims to better understand the genetic, epigenetic, hormonal and environmental influences of human brain development. A better understanding of the determinants of cognitive maturation and cognition is essential in order to develop effective interventions to maximize the child's potential and minimize the negative effects of several frequent psychiatric disorders (autism, AD / HD, Schizophrenia, etc.). In order to understand the interactions between hereditary and environmental factors, Dr. Lepage's work focuses on several rare medical conditions associated with atypical brain development and a particular cognitive profile (X-fragile syndromes, Turner, Klinefelter, Prader-Willi , Phenylketonuria, etc.
