Adena Scheer

Biography

Dr. Adena Scheer is a surgical oncologist who specializes in breast cancer surgery and oncoplastic breast reconstruction. Born and raised in Toronto, Adena completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at The University of Western Ontario and her Doctor of Medicine degree at The University of Toronto. During her General Surgery Residency she completed a Master of Science degree in Epidemiology at The University of Ottawa. She returned to Toronto for a fellowship in Surgical Oncology and travelled to Paris, France to study Oncoplastic Breast Surgery. Dr. Scheer’s clinical interest is breast oncology and her research focuses on knowledge translation and decision support. She is appointed at St. Michael’s Hospital as a Surgeon-Investigator, at The University of Toronto as an Assistant Professor and at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute as an Associate Scientist.
