Biography
Dr. Barto Nascimento is a trauma staff physician in the Division of General Surgery at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre (SHSC) and an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of General Surgery at the University of Toronto, Canada. Dr. Nascimento is the inaugural Chair of the Canadian Resuscitation Outcome Consortium (CanROC) Trauma Committee. He completed critical care and transfusion medicine fellowships and a masters degree in clinical epidemiology at the University of Toronto, Canada. He is a trialist with particular interest in patient safety and quality improvement during acute resuscitation in the prehospital and in-hospital settings.
