Bryce Edwards

Biography

Bryce Edwards is a partner at OKT, and is a member of the management committee. His Aboriginal rights law practice includes representing First Nations in discussions with the Crown on legislative, regulatory and policy initiatives, such as Ontario’s Mining Act modernization. Bryce also works with First Nations in negotiations with (and litigation against) mineral exploration, mining, oil and gas, and other natural resources proponents. He provides advice on federal and provincial environmental protection and assessment law. Bryce also advises First Nations negotiating or litigating major claims regarding treaty rights and Aboriginal title. Before joining OKT, Bryce was a litigation associate in New York, working on complex commercial litigation. He was the co-founder and the first Editor-in-Chief of the Indigenous Law Journal.
