Biography

Caroline Mandell, B.A. (Hon.), J.D., M.A. (Toronto), was called to the bar of Ontario in 2005. She is legal counsel at the Court of Appeal for Ontario, where she assists the judges of the court with complex appeals in all areas of the law. Caroline has particular expertise in public law and the Charter and has worked on several high-profile constitutional appeals (civil and criminal). She is also the Court’s liaison for mental health appeals, including appeals from the Ontario Review Board and the Consent and Capacity Board.
