Transition metal compounds, due to their rich redox and coordination chemistry, exhibit fascinating reactivity. Nature uses transition metals in many metalloenzymes such as oxygenase, hydrogenase, nitrogenase. Metalloenzymes usually have much higher activity and specificity than the best synthetic catalyst for the same task
