Biography
Don is an Adjunct Professor of Finance and past Chair of the International Centre for Pension Management at Rotman. Don is currently Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Alignvest Management Corporation, a leading, global alternative investment firm. Prior to joining Alignvest in April, 2014, Don served for 12½ years on the senior management team of the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), most recently as its first Chief Investment Strategist. Prior to joining CPPIB in 2001, Don worked for Goldman Sachs for seven years. He holds a PhD in engineering from Queen's University, specializing in nonlinear systems.
