Biography
Prof. Elkabas holds a PhD from the University of Illinois (specialist in French literature and a minor in cinema and comparative lit erature). He taught at the University of Illinois (Urbana- Champaign) and at North Carolina State University (Raleigh). His publications deal with 19 th -century French literature, teaching and learning a second language, business French, and teaching and lea rning French with information and communication technologies. His professional experience in the private sector is in banking, auditing, accounting and merchandising. Prof. Elkabas also received a U of T Mississauga Teaching Excellence Award.
