Research Interest
Child and Youth Mental Health, Transition Age Youth, Health Promotion Interventions, Eating Disorders, Body Image, Healthy Weights, Weight Bias, Risky Behaviors. Knowledge translation and exchange of best practices through professional development activities, mentoring of students/trainees and emerging scientists (e.g., clinicians), policy change (Ministries of Education, Health and Long Term Care). Discovery research related to the development of best practices in mental health promotion and the prevention of eating disorders through community-based, clinically -sensitive, longitudinal research evaluated using randomized controlled trials. Implementation research related to the uptake and sustainability of these best practices by relevant stakeholders in health, education and sport.
