Biography

Graham D. Glancy is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto and an Assistant Clinical Professor at McMaster University. His over 100 scholarly articles and chapters focus on assessment of high risk offenders, legal decisions that influence forensic mental health, and raising the standard of practice of forensic psychiatry. He is co-author of a book on Mental Health Social Work Published by Oxford University Press. Dr. Glancy is Past President Canadian Academy of Psychiatry and the Law and Past President of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law, where he has been Chair of the Sex Offender and the Psychopharmacology Committees. In his capacity as President of the Canadian Academy of Psychiatry and the Law, he served as a special consultant to federal and provincial government agencies, particularly the Federal Ministry of Justice, regarding a matters pertaining to forensic psychiatry. He is Chair of the Forensic Psychiatry Examination Committee of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons and has been designated a Founder of Forensic Psychiatry by the College. Graham D.
