Biography
As department chief at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Dr. Bloom helped introduce cardiac anesthesia services to a community based hospital. Subsequently, in his administrative role at North York General Hospital, he was involved in projects including optimizing hemostasis for orthopaedic surgery. His latest projects involve creation and maintenance of a perioperative crisis management manual. Dr. Bloom continues to be involved in teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
