Jensen Tan

Biography

Dr. Tan completed his undergraduate Honours degree from McMaster University in Biochemistry. He went on to obtain his MD at the University of Toronto where he also completed his General Surgery residency. During his residency, he completed a Masters degree as part of the Surgeon Scientist program in clinical epidemiology. After completion of his training, Dr. Tan went on to spend time as locum staff at Markham Stouffville Hospital, Sunnybrook Health Science Centre and then completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive surgery. In addition to a focus on minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Tan has an interest in colorectal and breast oncology. He has applied for a University appointment as Lecturer and Surgeon Teacher and he will be involved in the residency, MIS fellowship program and Surgical Oncology fellowship programs at Humber River Regional and the University of Toronto.
