Biography
My work focuses on galaxies: their origins in the current cosmological paradigm, their interactions and mergers and transformation in morphology and their internal dynamics. Supercomputer simulations using both particles and gas are used to construct model galaxies and study these processes using numerical experiments. This work improves our understanding of how gravity and gas dynamics within the Big Bang model lead to the observed characteristics of the galaxy population.
Research Interest
Galaxy formation and dynamics, focus on the connections between cosmology and galactic dynamics
