Biography
Dr. Hanlon is the deputy chair of chronic pain section of the Canadian Anesthesiologists Society (CAS) and is the Canadian section chair of the World Academy of Pain Medicine Ultrasonographers (WAPMU) His clinical and research interests include acute, chronic and post-surgical pain as well as medical education and the role ultrasonography in pain medicine. His current focus is in neuropathic and spine related pain as well the role of cannabinoids and ketamine in pain medicine. Some of Dr. Hanlon’s most notable accomplishments include designing, developing and directing the new FRCPC Pain Medicine sub-specialty residency program here at the University of Toronto.
