Biography
John Terry, LL.B. (Toronto); LL.M. (Harvard) is a former clerk of Mr. Justice Peter Cory. He is a partner at Torys LLP and has one of Canada’s leading international law practices. John frequently acts as counsel on international commercial arbitrations, investment arbitrations, and domestic proceedings, such as set-aside applications, involving international arbitrations. He also regularly acts as counsel in a range of public law matters, and advises on public and international trade issues. In addition to this course, he has taught, as an adjunct professor, Public International Law and International Commercial and Investor-State Arbitration at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law.
