Biography
David A. Johns received the B.A.Sc. degree in Engineering Science and the M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering all from the University of Toronto in 1980, 1983 and 1989, respectively. He worked with Mitel Corp, 1980-81 and Pacific Microcircuits Ltd, 1983-85, before joining the ECE Department at the University of Toronto, where he is now a Professor. Dr. Johns’ research interests are in the area of analog integrated circuits, high-speed data communications, and data converters. He has been involved in numerous industrial short courses and was a co-founder of a highly successful integrated circuit IP company called Snowbush Microelectronics. Dr. Johns is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering (CAE) and a Fellow of the IEEE. David A.
