Biography
Dr. Jory Simpson obtained his undergraduate degree in Psychology from McGill University and then completed medical school at the University of British Columbia in 2006. He subsequently went on to complete his General Surgery residency training at the University of Toronto. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2011. Dr. Simpson completed a Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation funded clinical fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology. His academic and research interest is in improving breast cancer outcomes in disenfranchised populations and he completed his Masters degree in Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education with a focus on Adult Education and Community Development. He is currently the Assistant Medical Director of the CIBC Breast Centre at St. Michael’s Hospital and appointed to the Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto. His clinical practice is focused on providing care to patients with both benign and malignant breast diseases.
