Biography
Julia Croome graduated from the University of Toronto Law School in 2008. She joined Ecojustice in 2016 from WeirFoulds. Julia also holds a B.Arts.Sc. from McMaster University and an M.A. (History of Science) from the University of Toronto. While at U of T Julia was a Senior Editor of the Journal of International Law and International Relations and worked with Lake Ontario Waterkeeper. She is co-Chair of the Climate Change Lawyer’s Network, and past co-editor of the OBA Environmental Law Newsletter, Environews. Julia’s practice focuses on environmental, planning and municipal litigation. She gained class action experience during Smith v. Inco – the largest certified environmental class action in Canada – and has appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court, Divisional Court, Court of Appeal and regularly before the Ontario Municipal Board.
