Research Interest
Larissa Maria Matukas, BSc., MSc., MD, FRCPC, is the Head, Division of Microbiology and Infectious Disease Consultant at St. Michael’s Hospital and Assistant Professor in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology at the University of Toronto. She is the program director for the medical (MD) and clinical (PhD) post graduate microbiology training programs. She obtained her MD and training in microbiology and infectious diseases at the University of Toronto. She also holds an MSc from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK. She has been involved in research projects and published and presented in her areas of interests which include HIV, SARS, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, laboratory quality improvement and utilization and medical education.
