Biography
Dr. Bartosik is a foreign trained medical doctor having graduated from Medical School in Poland. Upon immigration into Canada in 1982 she proceeded with learning English and was successful in passing the evaluation exams. She worked as a researcher on Malignant Hyperthermia at University of Toronto before becoming employed as a staff anesthesiologist at the Wellesley Hospital in Toronto. She also held responsibilities as an anesthesia consultant for the Burn Center. As a result of her active and enthusiastic involvement in teaching clerks and residents, Dr. Bartosik was presented with several awards including “Best teacher of the year." She has since continued her teaching efforts with undergraduate and postgraduate students, paramedics and anesthesia assistants. Additionally, from 2000 to 2013 Dr. Bartosik chaired the CME Committee at Department of Anesthesia.
