Biography

Michael A. Eizenga, B.A. (Hons) (Huron) 1979, ThM. (Dallas) 1983, M.A. (U.W.O.) 1986, LLB (U.W.O.) 1989, LSM, is a Partner and Chair of the Class Actions Practice Group at Bennett Jones LLP. He has taught at the University of Western Ontario’s Faculty of Law and in the Departments of Philosophy and Political Science. Among other published works, he is co-author of Class Actions Law and Practice. A Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, Mr. Eizenga has been named annually to the publication Best Lawyers in Canada since its inaugural edition and is ranked by Chambers and Partners for his expertise in Dispute Resolution: Class Actions. He is also listed in The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory and Lexpert Guide to the Leading U.S./Canada Cross Border Litigation Lawyers. He has also served as President of The Advocates’ Society. In 2017, the Law Society of Upper Canada awarded its highest honour—the Law Society Medal—to Mike for his significant contributions to class actions law in Ontario. Michael A.
