Biography
Dr. Michael Augustine Ko graduated from the University of Western Ontario Medical School in 2000. He then went onto train in General Surgery at the University of Toronto, completing his requirements in 2008. During this time, he completed a PhD in Cancer Biology under the supervision of Dr. Carol Swallow in 2005. This work was completed at the Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute at Mt. Sinai Hospital in 2005. After General Surgery, he finished a Thoracic Surgery Residency at the University of Toronto from 2008-2010. He joined the Western Toronto Thoracics Associates at St. Joseph's Hospital in 2010.
Research Interest
minimially invasive thoracic oncology, including diseases of the lung, esophagus and mediastinum.
