Research Interest
1. Development of experimental models in forensic pathology. This includes developing a studying the human cadaveric model of postmortem hypostatic hemorrhage, and the biomechanics and neuropathology of an experimental model of shaken baby syndrome. 2. Clinicopathologic studies on trauma and unexpected death. This includes case reports and retrospective cases series on a variety of topics including cerebrovascular pathology, child abuse, death in policy custody, genetic factors in forensic entities (e.g., traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage) and issues at the interface of medicine and law (e.g., wrongful conviction).
