Research Interest
Our research is motivated by the need to develop defensible strategies to reduce chemical contaminants in the environment. To accomplish this aim, we strive to identify and connect sources of chemical emissions to the movement of chemicals through systems and ultimately to exposure. We focus on the systems with relatively high levels of contaminants such as indoor environments and outdoor urban systems. Our methods include mathematical modelling, sampling (and developing methods to sample various environments) and analytical chemistry. To make our research relevant, we then connect our findings to policies and legislation.
