Biography
My research emphasizes educational policy analysis and program evaluation; the intersections between policy and teachers' work; teacher leadership and development; and teacher unions and professional associations. Recent research projects include an international study on how teacher unions change in response to changing conditions; on class size reduction; on teacher and student negotiation of curriculum in alternative schools; on relationships between teacher unions and governments around educational reform; and on teacher-driven curriculum policy.
