Biography
Prof. Rehner holds a Ph.D. in Second Language Education from OISE at the University of Toronto. She teaches courses in the areas of sociolinguistics and second language teaching and learning at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Her research deals with the development of sociolinguistic competence by first and second language learners of French in Ontario and is currently supported by two SSHRC grants. She publishes and presents widely in these fields, including he r recently co -authored book with R. Mougeon and T. Nadasdi entitled The Sociolinguistic Competence of Immersion Students (2010) Prof. Rehner holds a Ph.D. in Second Language Education from OISE at the University of Toronto.
