Biography

Sara Faherty, B.A. (Wellesley College) 1983, J.D. (Buffalo) 1990, admitted to the Bar of New York State, 1990, United States Federal Court, 1995. Ms. Faherty practiced complex litigation before joining the University of Buffalo’s Legal Research and Writing faculty in 1998. In 2001 she began working and teaching in the Affordable Housing Clinic and the Community Economic Development Clinics of the Buffalo School of Law. Her housing work has centered on low-income housing tax credit projects, and her community economic development projects have included working with the City of Buffalo’s Living Wage Commission. Ms. Faherty has published books on victims’ rights and poverty law. She has been teaching legal research and writing at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law since 2009.
