Biography
Human Language Technology and Ph.D., Linguistics, Univer sity of Arizona): is an Assistant Professor in Lin guistics in the Department of L anguage Studies and holds a graduate appointment in the Department of Linguistics, University of Tor onto. Her research focuses on how speakers and listeners integrate multiple sources of informatio n (e.g. different aspec ts of the acoustic signal, social expectations) during language comprehension and production, and how use of these different dimensions varies acro ss individuals. Other interests include processes underlying listeners' adaptation to new speakers and accents, as well as crossâ€langua ge interaction in the sound systems of bilinguals and secondâ€language learners.
