Dr. Shamim Sheikh is currently working as a Professor in the Department of Civil & Mineral Engineering, University of Toronto , Canada. His research interests includes Behaviour and design of reinforced concrete structures; Performance-based seismic design; Confinement of concrete in columns; Evaluation of structural integrity; Repair and strengthening of concrete structures using traditional materials and fibre reinforced polymers (FRP); Expansive cements and their applications.. He /she is serving as an editorial member and reviewer of several international reputed journals. Dr. Shamim Sheikh is the member of many international affiliations. He/ She has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities. He /she has authored of many research articles/books related to Behaviour and design of reinforced concrete structures; Performance-based seismic design; Confinement of concrete in columns; Evaluation of structural integrity; Repair and strengthening of concrete structures using traditional materials and fibre reinforced polymers (FRP); Expansive cements and their applications..
